Dog Checklist

Many of us consider our dogs part of the family and like to include them on our outdoor adventures. When considering bringing your dog, first make sure that dogs are allowed in the area you plan to visit. Second, find out if they need to be leashed – and they do for all El Paso County Parks and Colorado Springs parks and many other jurisdictions within the Pikes Peak region. Third, find out if there are off-leash areas where you are going – some of our parks, such as Red Rock Open Space, have specific areas for your dog to be off-leash.
