Badger Creek – Below Ute Trail
Badger Creek is wide, deep, and flows year-round through a mountain valley. One hour travel on a well-maintained dirt road; mostly easy hiking.
Badger Creek – Lower CR 12
Access by a rough four-wheel drive road – high-clearance vehicles required. Hiking required; very remote area.
Beaver Creek – Above Penrose
Beaver Creek’s headwaters begin at the top of Pikes Peak and cuts its way down to the Arkansas River. Dirt roads to trailhead; hiking required.
Beaver Creek – Below Skaguay Reservoir
Accessible by trail above the Skaguay Reservoir dam. The section is a 3 mile gentle run before it drops into an untamed, un-trailed, harsh canyon.
Chalk Creek
Easily accessible by road, about ten miles south of Buena Vista. Many pockets and stretches of fishable water all the way up the heavily wooded canyon.
Clear Creek – Above Clear Creek Reservoir
Access road above Winfield is rougher. Clear Creek is another one of the high mountain creeks that is full of small Brook Trout.
Cottonwood Creek – Above Buena Vista
Cottonwood Creek has three branches: North – access at trailhead for Mount Harvard; Middle: access above Rainbow Lake; South: Cottonwood Lake.
Fountain Creek – Manitou Springs
Fountain Creek is truly our local water; a small section is directly behind Angler’s Covey. Creek is accessible from Fountain Creek Regional Park.
Four Mile Creek – Booger Red Hill
Fourmile Creek in the Booger Red Hill area is a great place to escape the crowds. High-clearance vehicle required to drive to two-mile forest access road.
Four Mile Creek – Dome Rock
Best fished in the lower part of the canyon. Closed 2 miles down at the Jackrabbit Lodge from Dec. 1st-July 15th.
Four Mile Creek – High Creek
This section of Four Mile Creek has a mixed population of Rainbows and Browns. The trail is in development and NOT clearly marked.
Four Mile Creek – Lower Four Mile Ranch
Located 26 miles north of Craig on Hwy 13. Portions of the ranch are accessed by Moffat County Roads 38 and 40.
Four Mile Creek – Shelf Road
Fourmile Creek along Shelf Road is somewhat limiting before it hits the Arkansas River in Canon City. Some sections of state and BLM land accessible.
Goose Creek
Accessible through Goose Creek Trailhead. Goose Creek is a popular access for the Lost Creek Wilderness area, a haven for backpackers.
Grape Creek – Bear Gulch
A major stream that drains the majority of the Wet Mountain Valley in south central Colorado. Bear Gulch is one of a few access points.
Grape Creek – Temple Canyon Park
Access just west of Canon City or by taking Temple Canyon Rd. A major stream that drains the majority of the Wet Mountain Valley.
Jefferson Creek
A popular area because of the near by Jefferson Lake and the Colorado Trail, but few actually fish this stream.
North Monument Creek
North Monument Creek Interceptor Project will construct a 10-mile pipeline to collect wastewater flows. Project will be completed by March 2024.
Rich Creek
Rich Creek is a popular backpacking and hiking area. Access from where Rich Creek meets the South Fork of the South Platte.
Rough and Tumbling Creek
South of Fairplay and 8 miles off Highway 285. 4-wheel drive and moderate off-road driving skills needed.
South Platte River – Middle Fork Alma
Headwaters above Hoosier Pass. Water is diverted from the Breckenridge area and passed through a tunnel under Hoosier Pass into Montgomery Reservoir.
South Platte River – South Fork Weston Pass
This section of stream runs along Weston Pass Road, located several miles south of Fairplay on Hwy 285 and then west about 16 miles.
Tarryall Creek – Below Tarryall Reservoir
Tarryall Creek is mostly private ranches, but Anglers can fish the tailwaters below the dam and diversion.
Tarryall Creek – Cline Ranch SWA
0.25 miles northeast of Como. 1,635 acres of fish and wildlife habitat acquired for public fishing, hunting, and recreational access. Steam divided into 4 “fishing beats.”
Tarryall Creek – Lower Allen Creek Ranch
A private area that can be yours for the day for a $70 fee per person. This area is close to Colorado Springs.
Tarryall Creek – Near Como
A private area that can be yours for the day for a small rod fee.  There is a locked gate that leads to an access road.
Tarryall Creek – Tarryall L&C Ranch
This section of Tarryall Creek is very diverse in terms of habitat. $70 fee per person, maximum of four people per day.
Tarryall Creek – Upper Allen Creek Ranch
A scenic property with complex habitat and healthy populations of trout in the 10 to 25 inch range. Pre-printed angling pass required.
Tarryall Creek – Ute Creek Ranch

Trout Creek
Trout Creek runs parallel to Highway 67 north of Woodland Park. Accessible via the Manitou Park Recreation Area.
West Creek – Upper FS RD 364
West Creek is located behind Woodland Park and is accessed either above Ride Out Ranch or below. No trails; bushwhacking required.
Wigwam Creek
Wigwam Creek is a small stream with a good supply of Brook Trout. The Wigwam Trail testifies to what survived from the Hayman Fire.
