Brush Hollow Reservoir State Wildlife Area

Brush Hollow Reservoir is a typical warm water fishery located south of Colorado Springs and west of Penrose, off of Highway 115. Brush Hollow has high mercury levels, so harvesting fish is not recommended. Also, watch your step walking around the reservoir because it is known to be home to rattle snakes. This is, however, an excellent stillwater fishery within reasonable driving distance from Colorado Springs. Accessibility: Brush Hallow Reservoir is public property and open all year round. It requires no entry fee but a habitat stamp is required to fish. These is limited shade on the property.
