Volunteering is a great way to get involved! On our Volunteer page, we have links to some key area calendars for volunteering to work on trails, parks or open spaces. But most of the nonprofit organizations and conservation groups, not to mention the land management entities, could all use volunteers! So find one that looks like a good fit and get started!
Another way to get involved is by supporting the outdoors financially. Our organization, Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance (PPORA), is always looking for great financial partners as are our many great partner organizations.
And lastly, if you want to participate in PPORA, send us an email and let us know how you are looking to get involved. We have an active Board of Directors, Advisory Group, and working groups doing our best to unite our local outdoor community and make a positive difference for our region and we are thrilled to have new folks getting involved!
The natural world provides many opportunities for solitude, quiet contemplation, and the “Ahhh” factor, where it just speaks to our soul and soothes. And sometimes, that is exactly what we need when spending time outdoors.
But there is also a lot to be said for sharing those moments with others. And if you would like to connect, we want to help you do just that so we have listed a number of clubs and meet-ups in the Pikes Peak region arranged according to activity.
And if you would like to connect with the greater outdoor community through Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance, we’d love to hear from you so Contact Us Here.
